WALT DISNEY HONEYMOON VACATIONS

Going to Walt Disney World!!!?
My family and I are leaving for Myrtle Beach & Disney in a week. I have looked and explored the internet for all kinds of information, and have found out quite a bit. Does anyone have any suggestions? we are planning on visiting all the theme parks. Magic Kingdom twice. This is our first trip to Disney, actually our first family vacation. Our kids are 15(g), 9(g) and 3(b)… Myrtle Beach — I can’t find out a whole lot on that. I figure we will just go with the flow while we are there. Me and My husband went there on our honeymoon a loooong time ago but have never taken the kids. If anyone has any suggestions on things to do there (amusement parks, shopping, beach activities, etc. it would be great.
you could spend a month in the Orlando area and not run out of things to do. I don’t know exactly what date you’re coming down (I live in North Florida), but if my calendar is correct, you’re coming down at about the same time the shuttle Atlantis is supposed to land. Watching a shuttle land and then touring the space base (Canaveral) is quite an experience. It is a couple of hours drive from the Orlando area, but it is almost totally free (other than gas). I’d try to include that if I could.
But, back to Disney……there are a zillion things to do for every age. Take all of them to Downtown Disney. There is a neat exhibit there with some “creative” rides. I don’t remember the exact name of the place I’m talking about, but it is across the street from House of Blues in Downtown Disney. (someone else will chime in with it, I’m sure). Be prepared for the teenager to be somewhat bored with the Magic Kingdom. ON the other hand, the little ones may not enjoy Epcot as much. I’d look into a multiday pass so that you could “sample” all of the parks. Some people seem to recommend the dining cards too, but I have found that you get better variety if you eat off property. When my kids were little, we would open the park, stay there until about lunchtime, then get our hands stamped and return to the hotel, where the kids would eat lunch nearby, swim and take a short rest. Then, we’d get up, eat supper before returning to the park, and then close it down. There are many good travel books about Disney in general, and they also show a lot of special programming on Disney World on the travel channel. Disney can be overwhelming if you’ve never been there. Just do a lot of research before you go, and plan your days carefully. The bad news is that you aren’t going alone. I think they had something like several million visitors last year. The good news is that they have crowd control down to a science. Good Luck!
