THAILAND HONEYMOON ADVICE

Currency Exchange from India Rupees for Singapore Malaysia Thailand?
I need to convert the Rupees before leaving for my honeymoon vacation to Singapore Malaysia and Thailand.
I am very much confused..
1. Some says use Credit Card for transactions and Cash withdrawals.
2. Some says get currencies for all the countries.
3. Some says buy only USD dollors.
4. Some says get it convert from Western Union.
5. Some says get it convert from New Delhi International Airport.
6. Some says get travel Cheque…
What if I spent very low in these countries, when I come back do I get the same money back in Rupees?
I am very very confused. I need some expert advice from the people who had experienced the same situation.
Please Help!
i have tavelled a lot. and what i would do is to roughly estimate how much i would be spending throughout the trip. but i wouldn’t use my credit cards for cash withdrawals coz you will paying a lot more for the interest charge.
since you are going to those 3 countries, i suggest you use sg$ as the base. the malaysian ringgit (rm) is untradeable outside the country so you can only buy the currency in malaysia. sg$ is more stable than us$ and the exchange rate with rm and bhat is more consistent. this way, you can avoid losing to the exchange rate.
this is what i usually do – bring along some cash in hand. i would use my credit card to pay for huge amounts like the accommodation, shopping at complexes, fine dining, additional sightseeings. you need to use cash for shopping at the market, bazaar, small shops, convenient stores, public transport etc. if i were you, i would just bring along sg$2500 to be used in the 3 countries. malaysia and thailand are far much cheaper than s’pore and their currencies are lower too.
Congratulations to Ami and Mala
