HONEYMOON TYBEE ISLAND GA

Which place would be best for a honeymoon in June? Tybee Island, GA or Charleston, SC?
Please give your opinions and reasons if you have visited these places.
We live in middle TN. We want to go to a beach for our honeymoon. Neither of us have been to Tybee Island, but my boyfriend has been to Charleston a long time ago. I think Tybee Island seems beautiful & peaceful and Charleston seems like there would be many historical places to visit & learn about. Thanks.
We spent a week at Tybee last September. It is a pretty quiet, family oriented beach. It seems a little old fashioned to me and not extremely upscale. We liked it there, plus it wasn’t far from Savannah, which is a great place to visit. Perhaps an “undiscovered” treasure?
A few years back we stayed at one of the plantations outside Charleston, SC. Charleston is more like Savannah, in that it is a vibrant interesting town. But I think you’d have to find a beach town nearby to actually stay on the beach.
I think both places could be hot and humid in June with a small chance of a hurricane.
