CARIBBEAN HONEYMOON ST THOMAS

Eastern or Western Caribbean? taking a cruise for honeymoon. Advice?
We are tossing up the idea of a cruise. St Thomas,Grand Turks & Caicos, San Juan , and Half Moon Cay are on one ..some Jamaica…with Grand Caymans and Key West and lastly, Cozmel on the other..Any with past traveling experiences?
That really is a toss up because the different ports on each are very similar in what they have to offer. Here’s some more detail:
San Juan and Key West are both historical towns and both are great to visit so thats a toss up. You might if you haven’t been to one pick the other.
Turks & Caicos, Grand Cayman and Cozumel are all great snorkeling and beach spots. Another toss up but Grand Cayman does have stingray city which is unique and seven mile beach is very nice. For Turks & Caicos it depends on whether the stop is on Providenciales or Grand Turk. Providenciales has Grace Bay which is beautiful. Grand Turk is good snorkeling and quieter if that appeals more.
Half Moon Cay is a private island so thats unique.
Jamaica is interesting it has other than nice beaches, waterfalls and other adventure type activities.
St. Thomas has nice beaches and there’s good shopping there.
You might want to just pick the cruise thats least expensive and/or has the best cabin deals, for example on one cruise you might be able to get a nice suite for a reasonable price. So I would look more at what the different cruise lines have to offer.
Another idea is not doing a cruise and renting a private villa. There is a nice one (actually 2, Callaloo Cottage is next door) on Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. Its in a quiet area at the end of a residential street but close to Turtle Cove (10 minute walk). The beach is quiet and there is very good snorkeling on Smith’s Reef in front of villa. See website:

Good luck with it and congrats.
