HONEYMOON GIFT LIST MONEY
Wedding Present help?

I need to buy a present for a wedding.
I have know the Bride longest of all my friends, but I only know the groom from a few house parties. (He’s lovely!).

I have already used some of the most fitting and unique present ideas for the Bride’s birthday’s. Besides, they are all exclusive to her own hobbies and passions.

They have asked that we gift money towards honeymoon spends,(They already have a housefull of stuff!) and I’ll do that too, but another group of friends are getting them something between them.

I’m not going in on this (for some complex reasons), so I need and idea.

What can I do that is special for newlyweds, that will LAST and isn’t gimmicky…or for the already decorated and stocked house?

Art is off the list too, they aren’t big on sculptures and paintings exept the Cornish watercolour I got for the bride’s 18th.

I’m running out of time!

They asked for money? I would give them money. They have a household of stuff? How will they notice the stuff you give them?
If you wish, get them something small, inexpensive and of you. something you made, something you compiled, like your family’s favorite recipes in a nice scrapbook.
Or get them a keepsake with the date of their wedding.
If you know for sure what they like to do for entertainment, like bowling, golfing, cooking, renting videos for home movie night, curling up by the fire, make a gift basket of related gifts. For home movie night, popcorn, cocoa, boxed movie theater candy, a gift certificate to the video store. But I would do this for a shower present, or in addition to a cash gift.
Can’t think of anything original for you to box or wrap, it has all been done before: crystal, china, Xmas ornaments, you ruled out art.
Try A gift certificate for a favorite restaurant, if they are bibliophiles, a gift card for the book store, if they cook one for a gourmet kitchen store.
