WEDDING HONEYMOON NEW ZEALAND

Pleasant travel locations in late August or September?
We are going to be going on our honeymoon in late August or September (not of this year). I was just wondering (weather wise) what are some good locations durring that time. We would like to go outside the US and would like to avoid the bahamas or hawaii. Doesn’t nescessarily have to be a tropical local. I would love to go to Europe but have never been, so we’d like to avoid destinations like Paris where we would get too wrapped up in the site-seeing.
All in all, we’d like to go somewhere with lots of culture and art but also be able to relax after planning a stressful wedding.
(Particularly interested in New Zealand and Mediterainan locations.)
kmar… I live in a northern state. I would prefer to go somewhere out of the norm for us.

Several European locations are nice during that time. Prague, in the Czech republic is nice, The Greek isles are great – check out the Roccabella in Santorini – we spent our honeymoon there and it was fantastic.
