Going to Taos New Mexico for honeymoon… ?

I don’t want to stay in a common chain hotel. Just want romantic and quaint without breaking the bank. Also, any suggestions on night-life?
Help.

I was just in Taos, New Mexico for my wedding anniversary in August. We stayed at the El Monte Sagrado ( http://www.elmontesagrado.com/ ) in the Egyptian suite. This was a little pricey but worth it for the weekend. We had a hot tub and private yard with patio. Very, very nice. As far as night-life, well we kind of mind our own

Where ever you stay, you must try Joseph’s Table restaurant and the Steakout Grill and Bar (awesome views). Both have excellent food!
