POCONOS HONEYMOON HISTORY
Honeymoon in the United States?
We wanted to take an Alaskan cruise, but unfortunately the only ones available don’t start until April. (makes sense) We’re getting married in February and would like to get away from it all pretty soon after the wedding, so we’re putting the cruise on hold for now.
We both want to explore places we haven’t been. We looked at the poconos, but rather being cooped up in a cabin, we’d like to get out and about and see things.
Anyone have suggestions on places to go in the US that will exciting and maybe rich with history? Remember that it will be in February!
I should probably mention that we live about 20 minutes from DC, but thankyou for the suggestions about the DC area =)
the grand canyon
great lakes ( the falls)
cattle drive ( i know sounds like work but when you wake up in a tent and look out and the sun is comming up over a lake and spectaular mountains and all you see is a horse and you just take that fresh air in omg spectauclar)
mt rushmore
williamsburg va ( had a blast not to costly but lots to do we didnt have enough time and we were there for two weeks always something fun exciting and new to do, but in feb might be too cold to go but you can do sleigh rides there )
why not put the money you were going to spend on travel for the cruise put it in a pot get your car and drive go see locations do things ask locals what is there to do .
