A Four Seasons experience on a budget?
Not really a budget, but it would be nice to save money. My fiance and I are going to Paris for our honeymoon and I just adore looking at the pictures of the Four Seasons there online. Our parents gave us a budget for our honeymoon and whatever we don’t spend we can put towards our apartment/house. Have you been to Paris? Can you suggest quality hotels that would express a French ambiance to the greatest extent? (It irks me to see “modernized” hotels over there when the French are known for classic patterns and designs.) We are going to stay for two weeks November 8-22 2009. Thank you in advance.
If you are going to Paris, go whole hog, don’t skimp. Stay at the Ritz, if you can’t stay at the Ritz, try Le Meurice. Both are exceptionally grand and very Parisian in architecture and style. Le Meurice also had live jazz music every afternoon which is just lovely and adds to the ambiance. If both of those are outside of your price range I also recommend Le Royal Monceau, which has an extensive art collection and fine restaurants. All three hotels are located in the heart of Paris, within walking distance from many of the historic and shopping districts. Enjoy your trip, it is truly a beautiful city.
