PAINTER’S HONEYMOON LEIGHTON

Painter’s Honeymoon by the artist Lord Leighton?
I have been asked by a colleague to find out about the original of a print she has loved for years. I have managed to find that it was painted in c1860 by the Pre-Raphaelite/Classicist artist Frederic Lord Leighton. What I want to know is whether the sitters for this painting were Dante Gabriel Rossetti and John Ruskin’s wife his lover or whether they were models and the coincidence that they look like these people at a time when they were causing a scandal by running away together is just very great, moreso in the knowledge that Lord Leighton knew all three people involved in the scandal very well.
There were two memoirs of Lord Leighton written by Ernest Rhys and published by Bell around the turn of the nineteenth century. These two books may well hold the secret.
I have the Painter’s Honeymoon down as 1866 – the same year that he completed a portrait of Mrs. Guthrie
