MALDIVES HONEYMOON JULY
Am i mad to book my honeymoon to Maldives & Sri Lanka for July 20th? Will the weather be that bad?

I think that there’s a really good change it will be raining in the Maldives during July. This particular month is part of the rainy season. Would imagine Sri-lanka will be much the same.
I went to the Maldives in August last year and we had an hour or two of sunshine around 7am, it rained from 9 to 11.30/12.00pm, sunny for a few hours in the afternoon then the sun set really early. The rain is torrential but dries very quickly. The island will provide unberellas.
The best season to visit the Maldives is between mid to lateDec/Jan to May. I have been in November and experienced really good weather.
I’m sorry I don’t have better news for you. My advice is, get up really early and then you can go back to bed. Take a little cardigan with you. The temperature will still be very pleasant, mid to late 70’s I guess.
Can I suggest you take a good few books away with you. Of course, you will be on honeymoon so maybe the books won’t be necessary.
All being said, you will still experience the isolation and shipwrecked feeling despite the weather!
