Where to go on a honeymoon?
My fiance and I are trying to plan our honeymoon and I’m feeling a little overwhelmed! I’ve already done my research and read up on the Bahamas, Jamaica, Punta Cana, Cancun, etc etc…. I know the places, but… how do you pick! Carribbean or Mexico? Punta Cana or Jamaica? Argh! We have never traveled before so this is all new to us. We just want to go away and relax in the sun and sand, have a couple of drinks and just have a great time! We aren’t big party animals, and we aren’t really into the nude beaches they have in some areas. Also, I think would be kind of freaked out by the pestering of some of the locals, are there certain places that have less of that? We do like the idea of an all inclusive, but is there anywhere honeymoon-ish in the US – other than Hawaii? We just can’t afford that right now. Our budget is no more than about $2500. Be my travel agent!
Outside of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is Nuevo Vallarta. There is a very nice resort called Velas Vallarta. There’s one in both of those locations and both are very nice. They have all inclusive deals. It’s a very nice resort and there are very few locals who will pester you. There may be a few on the beach, but they leave you alone for the most part. Also, Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful town with a lot of history and a lot to see. I think, depending on how long you want to stay, that you should be able to get into one of those two on your budget. Also, no matter where you go, they will try to get you to come to a timesharing presentation. Don’t do it. The best way to avoid it is to say that you don’t have credit cards and you have bad credit and only a savings account. I hope this helps.
