HONEYMOON WEDDING ACCOUNT
Unique registry ideas?
I was wondering if anyone has any unique wedding registry ideas? My fiance and I have been together for four years now and are getting married in Sept 09. We already live in our house together and have been for 3 years. And we also have everything we need as far as household items and kitchen stuff goes, there really isn’t anything we need. I know we’re kinda supposed to register but does anyone have any ideas or advice on what we could do instead? I heard of people registering for their honeymoons but we figured we would just go on last minute club.com and get a discount vacation there rather then paying top dollar through a travel agent. My fiance even had this idea to open a honeymoon bank account and have people make deposits as gifts, which i thought was neat. has anyone done anything like this? Any advice would be much apprechiated!!

I have a friend that on her wedding website, they have a honeymoon registry. They explain that since they’ve been together for a long time, they do not need any household items. They say a gift isn’t required, but if a guest must give, please donate to their fund.
I didn’t find it tacky at all. I’d rather donate to something they really want/need than something the registered for at Target in order to have a ‘respectable’ registry.
