Just wondering, is it okay to ask for gifts at a 10yr anniversary party.?

See, I don’t get to enjoy my wedding or go on my honeymoon because I was on pain med and I still had stitches, I had emergency surgery Wed. before my wedding. My husband and I are going to have a formal party and our first honeymoon to celebrate 10 years together.
I want to put no gifts please, but I was told no by a friend who do this for a living. Please I don’t want to be rude.

It is never O.K to ASK for gifts. Ever.
