HONEYMOON ROOMS LAS VEGAS HOTELS

HONEYMOON ROOMS LAS VEGAS HOTELS
las vegas on strip hotels?

hello all right honeymooning in las vegas in sep-oct 2010 with budget a big issue i have narrowed it down to either the stratosphere or the excalibur i kinda prefer the rooms and rates in the stratosphere they apparently have a lovely honeymoon room thats very reasonable but hear from ppl that its a bit out of the way what do ye think i dont mind being a little bit away from the main strip action but is it in an ok area and not in the back of nowhere and is it walkable in that heat thanks a million for your help im obsessing at the minute :)
i just want to say a big thank you to everyone who took time to answer this question i am going to take your advice and go for an upgraded room in the excalibur thank you all so so much again

The Stratosphere does have really nice rooms and amenities, but the location is pretty bad. It’s not an easy walk from there to much else, and the area is a bit seedy at night. You don’t want to be walking to and from the Stratosphere after dark. You’re looking at probably 30 minutes of walking to get to the area around Treasure Island/Mirage/Venetian, which is where things pick up on the strip.

The Excalibur is probably not as nice as the Stratosphere, but it has a good location. It’s located near NYNY, MGM, Planet Hollywood, and Luxor, all of which are fun places. There is a lot to do just on the corner where Excalibur is located, and it’s a pretty easy walk to lots of other attractions and hotels.

I think I would choose Excalibur and try for one of the upgraded rooms there. If you stay at Stratosphere, you’re looking at long walks, expensive taxi rides, or slow buses to get you around.
