HONEYMOON QUOTES

HONEYMOON QUOTES
did anybody else get the impression that Romeo and Juliet was not supposed to be a grand love story?

i read lays such as ‘Taming of the Shrew’ and ‘Macbeth’ before i

read ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and i never got the impression that

it was a love story

i got the feeling that Shakespeare was mocking impulsive love

and the honeymoon stages of relationships

we see how much Romeo loves the first girl, forgot her name,

the one prior to Juliet, and he professes his love for so dearly

and in the next scene he does the same to Juliet

there are several quotes throughout the play that made their

‘love’ seem silly
i you have no idea what i’m on about

have you ever been young an thought

you could never live without someone

and that there was nobody right for you

but them

and a few weeks later you feel the same way

about another person

it was kinda like that, the play

I did notice how easily romeo fell in love with juliet after rosaline but I still think its supposed to b a tragic love story… i guess u could b right but even if it seems silly to us to romeo and juliet their love probably felt like the most solid thing ever.
