HONEYMOON POCONOS NEW YORK
Getting married…Philadelphia?
We live in Philadelphia and we would like to go on a small honeymoon not too far from Philadelphia. We don’t drive yet and we are getting married May 2008. We plan to go to Disney World July 2008 but we wanted something small to do right after the wedding.
Any cool places in the surrounding area we can visit and find something to do.
I was told the Poconos, New York, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Virginia, Maryland, etc. if you know about these places please let me know if there are anything for us to do there and a link would be helpful. Thanks
Well the Poconos would be cool if you were getting married at a different time of year. There is a new place there though that you might like, its a hotel with an indoor water park. Its called Great Wolf Lodge. http://www.greatwolf.com/Locations/Poconos/
New York is awesome no matter when it is…since I dont know what your budget is you should go to www.tripadvisor.com and check out hotels, their price and reviews from people who actually stayed there.
Or another place close I would suggest is going to the Jersey Shore…so many places to choose from or to stay. You can go to Atlantic City and gamble (if you are old enough), go to Wildwood and enjoy a more family type atmosphere or go someplace like Sea Isle City and just have a relaxing weekend or something.
Lastly, I would say stay in Philadelphia. Get a nice hotel or a bed and breakfast outside of the city and get to know Philadelphia…there is so much history and culture for you to experience. Check out bnbfinder.com to look up bed and breakfasts anywhere you might want to stay, that site is great it will direct you to websites of specific B&B’s wehre you can get all the info you need on places to stay. B&B’s are very romantic and great for a honey moon night!
You’ll have a great time in Disney…but hope this helped with your actual question.
