Honeymoon question: Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions as Lake George, NY as a honeymoon location?

I haven’t been to Lake George in over 20 years..at that time it seemed rather tourist-y to me, but there’s a lot of history and I believe Ft. Henry ( I think that’s what it’s called) is up there so anyone who’s a history buff will enjoy it….the area itself is gorgeous…..now things may have changed in 20 years…it’s always worth checking out….good luck.
