HONEYMOON KEY WEST HOTELS
Which disney hotel should we choose for our wedding/honeymoon? Old Key West, Saratoga Springs, or Polynesian?
We are getting married in Disney next year and are looking to book a hotel room. We are both students and in our mid 20’s and will graduate next year as well, so money is tight. We aren’t sure if we want to splurge and get our top choice, the Polynesian or go back some day when we have jobs and a better income and enjoy the Polynesian then?? Our other choice is somewhere quieter, more relaxing such as the Saratoga Springs or Old Key West. These are both close to downtown disney which is where we plan to spend a lot of time as well as the parks. The Polynesian obviously has better travel capabilities but is it worth the extra $500 when we could literally spend one more day in disney for the same price at the Saratoga or OKW? I know they will all be tremendous, I just need help making the right decision!
Does anyone know which is better: Saratoga Springs or Old Key West?

I got married and honeymooned at WDW. We stayed at the Polynesian (and a few other WDW Resorts also) and it was the most romantic!
IMHO, you’re only going to honeymoon once (I hope!) so go on and splurge!
The DVC Villa Resorts are cheaper than the deluxe resorts, so that is an issue. Have you thought about splitting your stay? Have a few nights at SS, then a couple of nights at the Polynesian. Disney are very good about helping to move and will transfer your luggage for free while you’re away enjoying the parks.
Consider the location – will you have a car? If not, the Polynesian is much better suited for travelling to the parks, especially Magic Kingdom.
Whichever you choose you’ll have a fab time!
