HONEYMOON HINTS TIPS
has anyone been to borneo?
We are considering going to Borneo for our honeymoon in mid May. Any tips and hints from people who have been? We are looking for 14 nights (plus or minus) and wouldn’t mind combining it with another country/island. Budget: upto £2000 per person maximum. Weather: has to be hot and sunny, activites: good beaches, nature, walks, local life, good food and shopping. We live in Kent, UK. Any tips on travel agents? Good or bad. Many thanks!
definatly go, it is amazing place. i’m from the Uk and have been back 3 years running.
the budget will be loads, everything is very cheap out there. the only things that are expensive are tours, but nothing on english money. you will be able to stay in some really great places.
the weather in may will be boiling, but there will not be that much rain. However be prepared it often rains ebery other day or so for a bit/.
in KK go to the islands just off the coast, go to kinabalu park, even if you don;t want to climb the mountain it is great. go to sepilok the orang utang sanctuary and from then to turtle island where the green turtles come ahore to lay eggs. sipidan is meant to be amazing.
also go to kuching in sarawak. a much nicer place than kk, more traditional. also the national park there is amazing for walking and beaches.
go go brunei as well, and to temborong, one of the last primary rainforest bits.
shopping is not very good, for that you want kl.
the food is amazing everywhere.
