Where is the best place to go to get donations for personal causes on the internet?
I have created a website to get donations to help pay for my wedding. I want to give my Fiance the perfect wedding and honeymoon. The sites is still being built, but I have it where people can donate, see a few pics and write on a blog so far. So I dont need to advertise to google or anything yet! But I am looking for a chat room or forum etc to talk to people directly about what I am doing and see if I can’t get some donations started… Where can I do this?
Is it a stupid idea? I mean I could always find something to offer! There are many people out there with too much money who waste it on needless things. I mean its their money, earned as well and i hold nothing against that fact… But is there anything wrong with thinking that there may be a few people here and there that would think this to be a good reason for a dollar or two? Im just trying everything I can you know?
In addition to what the lady above said, perhaps consider what you can offer sponsors.
Perhaps you could make a web site about your wedding and list the sponsors there? Companies may be willing to donate goods and services if they get some publicity.
