HONEYMOON EXPECTATIONS

stuck on great expectations coursework!!?
hi guys
we have a piece of practise great expectations coursework- with the poems and we have to comment on the use of violent and sexual imagery in the poem “Havisham” eg.”give me a male corpse for a long slow honeymoon” but i’m stuck on why the poet uses it. I have put Havisham is angry that he left her at the alter, but also has a desire for him and loves him- is this correct.? and if not please help me to get the correct answer. Thanks, and if you have already done this coursework i would really appreciate it if you helped me out .
The effect on Miss Havisham of being abandoned was to kill the love she had for her fiancee and by extension, men and the world in general. She takes up with Pip with thhe intention of having Estella break his heart – a sick fancy as she calls it – as doubtless is having a corpse as a groom. By now we are equating the marriage with death and decay being the honeymoon thereafter.
