okay just to have wedding band or is engagment just as important?
okay, so me and the mr. have intentions of eloping and i’m wondering if we should just get wedding bands, to save money, rather than get engagment and wedding band?
i am fine w/ just a wedding band, but then i talked to my friend and she said all women should have wedding bands and engagment rings. what’s your thoughts?
background info: i’m 26y/o and my b/f is 27y/o and i’m 35 weeks preggers. we wouldnt elope until 2009 (around march). we live in an apt. and collectivly make 65,000, w/ no money in savings. we are planning to go on a cruise and marry on port, then honeymoon and not tell anyone till we get back. THEN have a nice BBQ outdoor celebration…no gifts, just celebrating our love.
what’s your thoughts? should i tell him i want an engagment ring? we go back and forth from tattoo rings, and wedding band and engagement ring w/ wedding band. it’s up to me. i feel that a wedding band is enough, but dont know.
If you feel a wedding band is enough – then it is. Your friend’s opinion (and the opinions of the folks on here) are really not important.
This early in the relationship, it’s probably a good idea to save the money and just get the bands. Then, at some point in the future – say your 10th anniversary – you can splurge on a larger, prettier diamond to wear with your band.
Make your own choices! Don’t worry so much about advice from people who don’t have to pay your bills!
