Long weekend honeymoon in January? City Break?
Hi.
My fiancee and I are getting married in January and, around the 15th would be going on honeymoon. Due to health problems with her little boy, the best honeymoon we could manage is a long weekend and, due to the time of year, a sun holiday is out!
So, we were thinking of a city break. Perhaps Prague, Berlin, places like that. Even somewhere like Helsinki! Never having been to a city other than Paris I don’t know what these have to offer at that time of year so could do with some help.
Budapest in Jan is great. We went there 2 years ago for my birthday on 14th Jan and thoroughly enjoyed the sights, the people and the goolash – not to mention the ale.
You can buy a city pass that allows you to travel around on buses and the underground metro. However, I think it best to stay off the underground in this time of terrorist threat.
