HONEYMOON CANCUN PACKAGES
is it best to leave on your honeymoon the day after the wedding(sunday) or wait for monday to leave?
Our wedding is going to be april 18th 2009 and we are going to cancun for our honeymoon. We are going to book our package in the next few weeks.
A friend of mine who got married told me that if she could have it over again she would have left on monday instead of sunday for her honeymoon. (she had a saturday evening wedding like I will have)
we are debating on whether to leave the day after the wedding which will be sunday or take the sunday to be home and relax and leave on monday.
When will you leave on your honeymoon? the day after the wedding or any other day for that matter.

thanks everybody for your answers. I also feel that on that sunday we will be beat and we won’t be able to enjoy that first day in the resort.
Our wedding was on Saturday evening. We left for our honeymoon on Monday. Aside from wanting to take that day to rest, pack, etc. we also had family in town that I hadn’t seen in years – so we all went to brunch/lunch the next afternoon. It was nice and I was really glad that we had decided to go Monday. I think if we would have left Sunday I would have been exhausted – especially if it had been an early morning flight. I would take your friends advice – this way you don’t have to worry about scrambling everything together on the wedding night…you should be doing something else on your wedding night besides packing. My friend had to leave for her honeymoon the next morning – she said they were so busy packing they both just fell asleep, which was rather disappointing for both of them…
