HAWAII HONEYMOON COTTAGES

Going to Hawaii Big Island for honeymoon! Need help?
We are thinking of staying in the Kona area. Is this a good choice. We will be renting a jeep and want to explore places like beaches, waterfalls, volcanoes etc.
Is Kona a good location for such a trip?
We are thinking of staying in a cottage instead of a resort depending on the pricing.
Is there a better island for this type of trip?
If you want to explore places like beaches, waterfalls and volcanoes, the Big Island is your best bet. I am currently a resident of Hawaii and I have to say: Good choice!
Kona is a very nice place to stay, all of its resorts are near the shore, and the sunsets there are priceless. If you’d like to see more waterfalls and volcanoes, on the other side of the island there is this town called Hilo. It has a bunch of hotels as well, and is much closer to some of the waterfalls and volcanoes (especially Hawaii’s currently active (but not dangerous!) volcano- Kilauea) Since its an island, a fun honeymoon trip might be to just cruise around the island, and stay at different hotels and bed and breakfasts instead of grounding yourself at one place. Trust me, it takes like only two days to go around the entire island, and its worth it.
Maybe I’ll see you around…
Have fun on your honeymoon and congratulations!
