Is Singapore an ideal honeymoon destination on a budget?

I’m looking for somewhere my fiance and I can go on our honeymoon when we marry next year. we live in Darwin so we are close to Singapore and we are looking for somewhere not too cheap but not over priced as we will be newly weds with not a whole lot of money. Any one have an oppinion or suggestions?

if you could tell us your budget and time available, we’ll be able to provide better suggestions for your honeymoon – whether Singapore, or to hop over to one of the nearby countries, and the recommended things to do.

Quite unfortunately, Singapore is having a hotel crunch at the moment and prices have gone up over the last 1-2 years. But it’s still possible to find something nice for the right price.

Here are my suggestions for romantic hotel stays:

1. Scarlet Hotel, boutique hotel in charming restored shophouses, romance-themed.

2. Naumi Hotel, boutique hotel, new kid on the block with fantastic vantage views of Singapore skyline.

3. Any Marina Bay hotel, in a harbour-facing room.

Here are some romantic things to do:

1. Sky-dining in a cable car for two from Mt Faber to Sentosa Island and back.

2. Equinox restaurant from 226m above the Singapore River – Marina Bay.

3. BBQ seafood dinner buffet at the Terrace (The Sentosa Resort), at sundown.

4. An evening stroll from Marina Bay to Esplanade Park, then along Singapore River to Clarke Quay.
