BEST HONEYMOON LUXURY HOTELS

Affordable Honeymoon in Vegas ideas?
My fiancee and I are getting married in Vegas next spring – does anyone have any tips for places to stay? We don’t want to do this on the cheap, but we’re not rich – we’ve got our ceremony booked at the Venetian and I was thinking of honeymooning there, but even the basic rooms there (with our discount for getting married there) are SO expensive! I was looking at other hotels like the Monte Carlo and for half the cost of staying at Venetian’s basic room, we could stay in a luxury suite there – what’s the best place to go? Anyone have reception venue ideas? Honeymoon stay ideas? I wanted to get get answers from both Travel & Weddings, so this is a copy of the post I made in the Travel forum – any advice for a first time bride would be REALLY appreciated!!! Thanks!!!
Well, you’re already off to a better start than I was. My husband and I got married in Vegas, too. We stayed at the Excalibur and got married in the chapel there. Everyone who sees my wedding pics thinks we had this huge wedding, because it was so nice. But in reality, there were only 30 people in attendance. I have never stayed at the Monte Carlo, but I’ve heard it’s nice. Plus, it’s right on the strip. I would recommend staying in a casino/hotel because you can just go right downstairs and everything you need is there. We had our reception at the hotel’s buffet. Everyone just went there and ate. It was a lot of fun. Another reception idea would be to invite guests back to your hotel suite and serve champagne and cake. Whatever you do, just don’t sweat the small stuff. Enjoy your day and your new hubby. You will remember it forever.
